Full-face helmets, although better protection for downhill riding, are heavier, bulkier and extend farther down to cover the upper neck and jaw bones. This added weight and extended coverage puts more stress on the neck and can result in injuries to the neck and collar bones during hard impacts. The solution is the Alpinestars Youth Neck Support, a protective brace that protects the upper neck by absorbing impact energy and dissipating it across a larger area. Featuring a dual-density core, the Youth Neck Support uses a soft EVA core surrounded by a rigid polymer compound frame to provide a combination of comfort and protection. The Youth Neck Support is designed to fit younger riders, ages 8-14.
